Wow, it’s been a while since I last posted on here.. practically six months! A lot has changed; here’s a very quick and condensed recap of what’s happened since then:
- I got hired as a bartender at a club in downtown SD (this actually happened in late July)
- I got signed to One Management LA and Chicago
- I started a business (the most exciting news of all)
- And my Instagram has once again been deactivated

Bartending
In late July I decided to start looking for a part-time job because although modeling pays really well it’s also very inconsistent. The problem with modeling however, is that you need to be available 24/7.
So, I decided to start looking at jobs that 1. paid really well and 2. had unusual hours so that it wouldn’t conflict with modeling. I started doing some research into bartending which is ironic since I don’t even drink and know absolutely nothing about alcohol. While doing my research I quickly discovered that’s it’s nearly impossible to get a bartending job with zero experience because no one wants to train a bartender; even if you went to bartending school (which is apparently a scam and you shouldn’t waste your money), no place will want to hire you.
But at this point I was pretty set on working in that type of industry because the tips would be amazing. I then decided to start looking into being a bottle girl and it seemed like the only requirement was to be good looking and somewhat outgoing.
With this in mind I printed out my resume, drove downtown on a Tuesday afternoon and started walking into different clubs asking if they were hiring for bottle girls.
One of the clubs said no they’re not hiring for bottle girls but they’d train me as a bartender. I was extremely excited because this is what I originally wanted to do. I made sure to emphasize that I had absolutely no bartending experience and the owner didn’t mind.
Now, several months later I’m still working at that club as a bartender! Am I the best bartender ever? No. But, I do what needs to be done and can make the most popular drinks which is really all that matters.
New Modeling Agency
I got signed with One Management in LA and Chicago! This is pretty exciting because One is a fairly big agency that has locations in LA, Chicago, Spain, and New York. I’m exciting to see what exciting jobs I’ll get getting through One Management (hopefully).
I’m still signed with Willow Models because they’re my mother agency. They will represent me in international territories that One Management doesn’t cover.
Starting a Business
This is by far the most exciting news of all and the what I’m most proud of. In late November I discovered the world of SMMA and decided to buy a course that taught me everything I needed to know and needed to succeed in starting my own SMMA business.
From late November – December I completed this entire course while building my business at the same time. Then, in January I discovered a completely different platform and 3 other courses that took me in a different direction.
Long story short, I now own a white labeled software company that offers SAAS and SMMA. It’s the best of both worlds. The more I learn about this new program, the more potential I see that it has. I’m very excited to see where this takes me. I also feel very confident with my business and I’m proud of what I’ve done so far.
I have spent a good chunk of money on this business and even more time. I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes me in the near future.
Less exciting news; my Instagram got deactivated again! However this time I felt relieved. It got deactivated on Valentine’s Day and about an hour before I was going to post, my account got deleted.
It’s been two weeks now and it’s still gone. I still feel a sense of relief that I don’t have it, but I’ve also missed out on a modeling job because of this… So I’d like to get it back.
As usual, I have conflicting feelings about Instagram. I feel great without it and I don’t miss seeing what anyone is posting about. But then at the same time a part of me wants it back. I have a lot of thoughts on this and won’t be getting into that right now.
Reading and Journaling
I’ve been reading and journaling like crazy. I don’t know what has come over me, but my usual desire to read and journal has increased tremendously. I’m not complaining though. The feeling I get when I’m doing these activites is one of my favorite feelings ever.
I’ve journaled every single day for the best few weeks. Every day. I used to journal pretty often before, but not to the extent that I am now. I’ve also been tabbing and annotating the latest book I’m reading, ‘The Laws of Human Nature” by Robert Greene. It’s transformed the way I read and how much information I retain. I’m glad I decided to take my time and annotate this book. I just finished it today and I gave it a 5/5.
I’ve also delved into the world of philosophy which is insanely exciting, refreshing, thought provoking, and so much more. I wonder what philosophers would’ve thought about social media? Would they have gotten an Instagram account?
Thoughts on my Blog
Looking back at the articles I wrote… I try not to cringe but, it’s hard not to.
I’ll be taking the time over the next week or so to re-read each post and update them. I don’t know why I feel the need to even write this post or have a blog at all. The thought of people reading this makes me uncomfortable but I still want to do it for some reason.
